HEADS UP

HEADS UP!!!!

I saw a line of cars waiting to make a right turn on to a major street in town this morning.

Didn't know what the back up was all about, but usually 3 cars could have turned in the short amount of time I was passing the intersection,
especially with NO oncoming traffic.

Cars were sitting...
Waiting...
and and as I pulled past I saw why.

A Young Black female about 19 years old was crossing the street,
heading to the curb where the cars awaited their chance to turn.

She was WALKING.

YES WALKING.
with her Head held high,
she was; step by deliberate step,
crossing the busy street at her own pace.

Now, understand...
She was not intentionally delaying traffic...
she was just aware that she had the
"right of Way"
and was not running carelessly to avoid
"pissing people off"
(see yesterdays post)

She may have been heading to the corner to get on the bus to take her to a job where she would be giving her time to people who did not appreciate the services she would render, as in retail, or restaurant, or a phone bank,
but I am QUITE CERTAIN that this young woman would carry herself
with great class and dignity wherever she went, or worked.

NO CRAWLING FOR HER
!

Why do SO MANY businesses make no effort to
create an environment of respect for their employees?

Simple tools to make their job more effective and less frustrating
would give the powers that be,
the increased positive attitude they are so often seeking.

Think about the ways YOU may be "CRAWLING" for others
and decide to Stop...
TODAY.

Hold YOUR head high,
Know you are worthy of RESPECT,
and have some Self Respect no matter the task,
or circumstance you are in.

Make the moment your own!

Others will admire and learn from you.

(Oh...and people do NOT honk their horn at people like her)
They WAIT THEIR TURN.

Love and Clarity of purpose,
DELIGHT and Peace of mind,
to you and those you Love,

BorderingOnMagnificent "PISSED"

Why do people get
"PISSED"?

You can be driving a car,
taking a nap,
eating in a restaurant,
shopping in a store,
waiting in a line,
out on a date,
or sitting in a desk at school,
or your office...
YOU CAN EVEN GET PISSED ON THE PHONE!
Why???

USUALLY someone
"Pisses You Off"

THEY

Do something,
say something,
or
Don't do
or say something,...

OR

They give you that "look"...

or they "don't" look at you
and ignore you...

or????????...

What is the bottom line?

Why the bad feelings?

WHY did they cut you off

with their car,
or their words,
or from their life...

Why does a person get to the point
of being SOOOO angry,
that they are PISSED?

I BELIEVE IT IS HURT.

HURT that comes from feeling DISRESPECTED,
not valued,
unimportant,
and powerless.

Reality check...
That person you had to lay on the horn at
didn't Cut YOU off in their car,
they didn't even SEE you!

THEY were on the way to the hospital because they just got a call that their child was hit by a car.

That person who was not returning your phone calls...
just found out
SHE HAS CANCER
.

The employee who is late
or the co-worker who is distracted at work may be trying to keep their electricity on or wondering how they are going to get home that night with no gas in the car...

Oh... and that dog
who's barking
woke you up from your nap...
(It's just a dog)
Not a sinister plot to ruin your day,
your health,
or your life.

What about Rocking the Space we're in for the next week by
GIVING OTHERS THE BENEFIT OF THE DOUBT.
by ASSUMING they were NOT out to hurt us...
but merely having a moment
where they were unaware
that they were unaware of us.

And let's graciously MOVE ON.

With Love and Clarity of Purpose,
Delight, and Peace Of Mind,
to you, and those you love,

THE VOICE

I watched the first show of THE VOICE for this season. Never saw the show before, and LOVED it! It was GOOD to see people who really had a shot at doing what they are on the planet for and using actual musical skills and talent, GIVEN THE CHANCE to be seen and critiqued by major successes in the industry.(As well as by the audience at large)

It was GOOD...
to see human beings
being appreciated,
and cheered on,
and encouraged to
ROCK THE SPACE THEY'RE IN,
and GO AFTER their dream!

What else I loved about this show is

The people represented
actually had Talent,
and were taking their best shot.

THEY WERE NOT BEING USED,
or HUMILIATING themselves
for ratings sake!

The "Celebrities" who were vying to be the coaches of the performers were humorously showing both their hearts for getting the people they chose
"to the top" as well as what friendly competition and being an entrepreneur is all about!

Check out THE VOICE !

A great education for those going after their dream and making it a reality!

Love and Peace of mind,
Delight and CLARITY OF PURPOSE,
to you and those you Love,
